I am sure most Americans have seen that catchy TV commercial for the iPod Nano. The microscopic video player that reminds me of my age because there is no way I could watch a TV show on that Bandaid sized screen. Well, that singer is Leslie Feist. She has one of those simple, ethereal voices. It sounds so innocent, so fragile, childlike even. I have this feeling of a recently naive girl who has learned the realities of life and love and is wistful and sad. It is sweet and tender. There are few things in this world that capture the purity of youth, the hopefulness of once being young and ALL of your life before you. From this MIDPOINT in my life, it is bittersweet but still quite delicious.
