Mum’s the word

Just a quick post about some new music I have found: Mumford & Sons. I stumbled upon a post here. And then another  mention of it here. Serendipity is something I respect. So I downloaded their entire album. Something about the pounding bass drum drives the head to nod with increasing enthusiasm, that edge of British punk flavoring the gotta jump-jump. The drum reminded me of  another singer, Elvis Perkins. The NPR interview is here and a wonderful story about his family. He is the son of the late Anthony Perkins.

I love the line from the Winds of Winter: “My head told my heart let love grow; my heart told my head, this time no, this time no.”
