Biscuits, made with White Lily flour. Biscuits with butter and honey. Biscuits with bacon and ham. In some places, biscuits with sawmill gravy. Biscuits made with Crisco of all ingredients. Crisco is as much a staple in southern cooking as the bacon drippings kept cold in the back of the fridge in a Maxwell House coffee can. I made biscuits this morning for the boys.
