Baking is my solace. I love the smell of a house with something baking in the oven. I have a loaf of cranberry walnut bread in the oven currently. I bought a bag of cranberries for Thanksgiving, but did not use them. I figured, a quickbread was the best option.
After going through my cookbooks and files, I resorted to a web search. I found a yummy recipe on Epicurious.com. I used some of my grated orange peel, neatly stored in the freezer.
I debated pecans vs walnuts. Walnuts won. Now, just to wait patiently for the prize.
